Clark Named Chair of the Department of Information Systems and Technology Management
Alvarez College of Business
Dr. Jan Clark, professor of information systems, has been named chair of the Department of Information Systems and Technology Management. At UTSA since 2000, she teaches at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral level. Most recently, she has been instrumental in leading the college’s Ph.D. program in information technology.

Information Systems Department to Offer New Minors in Data Center Management and Digital Forensics

Two Business Graduates Named UTSA Alumni of the Year
Alvarez College of Business
Giving back to their alma mater is a theme that is echoed by alumni Clayton Killinger, ’83 and Nancy Kudla, MBA’87. Recognizing their passion and affinity to UTSA, Killinger and Kudla were named UTSA Alumni of the Year at the 12th annual UTSA Alumni Association Gala this fall.

Orta Awarded Regents Outstanding Teaching Award
Alvarez College of Business
Ermine Orta, ’01, MS ’04, lecturer in the Department of Management Science and Statistics, was named a recipient of the 2011 UT System Regents’ Outstanding Teaching Award. Only 72 faculty were chosen for this award.
