The Department of Information Systems and Technology Management in the College of Business will offer two new minors in digital forensics and network and data center management in Fall 2012.

Digital forensics is a fast growing area of cyber security. Students will learn how to discover data on storage media, recover data from wireless devices and intrusion detection. Coursework includes digital forensics analysis and cyber law.

The network and data center management minor will provide the educational basis for being successful as a data center manager or network administrator. The curriculum is divided into four major knowledge areas: networks and networking protocols, facilities such as electrical power and air conditioning, network security, and operations. Topics covered include cloud computing, physical and cyber security, access control, project management and disaster planning.
