The College of Business honored the accomplishments of staff members during an awards reception on April 29. The Dean’s Excellence Awards were instituted by Dean Lynda de la Viña to recognize the accomplishments of professional and classified staff members who excel in their job duties in the college.

College's Briefcase Brigade Wins First Prize in Battle of Flowers Parade

For the second straight year, the UTSA College of Business Briefcase Brigade won first place in the amusements category during the Battle of Flowers parade in April. The parade through downtown San Antonio is part of the annual Fiesta San Antonio celebration.

USAA CEO Joe Robles to Present UTSA College of Business Frost Distinguished Lecture April 16

Josue Robles Jr., president and chief executive officer of USAA, will present the keynote address during The University of Texas at San Antonio College of Business Frost Distinguished Lecture. The lecture begins at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 16 in the Richard S. Liu Auditorium (2.01.02) in the Business Building on the UTSA Main Campus. The event is free and open to the public.

UTSA College of Business Hosting Panel April 14 on The State of the Economy

The University of Texas at San Antonio College of Business will host a panel presentation on “The State of the Economy Following the Meltdown” at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 14. The presentation, which is free and open to the public, will be held in the Richard S. Liu Auditorium (2.01.02) in the Business Building on UTSA’s Main Campus.

Vicente Fox Highlights Leadership, Trade and Immigration Reform During UTSA Address

Following on the heels of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s visit to Mexico, Vicente Fox, the former president of Mexico, presented the keynote address at the Future Leaders Conference sponsored by the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI) and the UTSA College of Business.

Ernst & Young Establish 150-Hour Scholarship Program

The Department of Accounting and Ernst & Young have created the Ernst & Young Accounting Opportunity Program to aid the department’s efforts to increase the number of CPA-ready students enrolled in the 150-hour program.
