Family Endowed Scholarship in Tribute to Father

Siblings Jill (Litzinger) Grimes, John Litzinger and Linda Litzinger have established the Dr. William D. Litzinger Endowed Memorial Scholarship in memory of their father, William D. Litzinger, the first director of the college’s Division of Management and Marketing.

Prototype Sleep Apnea Device Wins UTSA Entrepreneurship Competition

ISleepTech, a start-up company offering a breathing mask for people suffering from sleep apnea, triumphed at last weekend’s $100K Student Technology Venture Competition hosted by the UTSA Center for Innovation and Technology Entrepreneurship (CITE). Six UTSA undergraduates majoring in business and engineering developed a prototype and wrote a business plan to market the technology.

Students Compete for $100K in Cash and Prizes in CITE Tech Start-up Contest

Seven UTSA teams comprised of undergraduate business, computer science and engineering students will compete for cash and prizes at the $100K Student Technology Venture Competition, hosted by the UTSA Center for Innovation and Technology Entrepreneurship (CITE). The competition is 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 6 in the Business Building Liu Auditorium (2.01.02) on the UTSA Main Campus.

Alex Rich,’06, strategy and operations consultant at Deloitte, has always been driven. As an undergraduate, he completed his UTSA degree in finance in less than three years. Now, as a professional in oil and gas consulting in Houston, his dedication, passion and focus has led to a successful consulting career.
