The University of Texas at San Antonio College of Business is accepting applications for the Critical Technology Studies Program (CTSP) scholarship.

Cyber analytics graphicThe scholarship is for the Spring 2019 semester and is open to new graduate students who have applied to the UTSA College of Business Master of Science in Data Analytics program and are interested in a national security career.

“The Critical Technology Studies Program leverages our current data analytics curriculum and provides additional national security and intelligence coursework to prepare students for a career in the national security workforce,” said Max Kilger, director of the data analytics and CTSP program. “There is a huge demand right now for individuals with analytics and cyber security training in the intelligence community.”

Paid tuition and fees for Spring 2019 as well as up to a $15,500 stipend will be awarded to CTSP scholarship recipients. Recipients will also have the opportunity to collaborate on research with UTSA College of Business faculty members in the areas of big data analytics, digital terrorism, smart grids, machine learning and cyber-physical hunting. Funding is also available for students to attend and present at relevant research conferences. Awarded students will also travel to Washington, D.C. to meet with intelligence community representatives to learn more about national security issues.

The deadline to apply for the scholarship is December 15.
