Dan Karam Business alumnus Dan Karam , ’97, MS ’01 loves UTSA. And in an effort to share his love for his alma mater, he has challenged his fellow alumni to show their support for UTSA and their respective colleges by making a donation.

“The truth is we’ve all gained so much more than our degrees from UTSA,” said Karam, chief information officer at MUY!. “I know I wouldn’t be where I am today, personally and professionally, without my experience as a Roadrunner. Let’s make sure current and future Roadrunners have just as great of an experience, if not better!“

Karam will match all alumni gifts up to $25,000 that are made through May 11. Gifts will be matched in the order that they are received until the $25,000 goal is met.

“If this campaign is successful more than $50,000 will be raised at UTSA by alumni in just three weeks—about the same amount that UTSA alumni donate in a typical semester,” said Genevieve Tobias , director of annual giving. “The goal of the match is to encourage more alumni to join the tradition of giving back to UTSA.”

“Please join me in this challenge by giving to your college today. I’m looking forward to seeing as many fellow alumni as possible show their love for UTSA in the next few weeks,” said Karam.

In addition to financially showing your support, alumni are also encouraged to post their favorite memories about UTSA on social media channels with the hashtag #ILoveUTSA. Participants will be entered in a drawing to win I Love UTSA decals and T-shirts. For more information and to make your donation, visit https://giving.utsa.edu/iloveutsa.
