UTSA Accounting Students Give Back to the Small Business Community

Alvarez College of Business
Accounting students at The University of Texas at San Antonio College of Business spent the semester putting their accounting skills to practice while also serving the local small business community. The Accounting Practicum course, taught by Dr. Gary Bridges, allows students to gain hands-on experience in the accounting industry and focuses on the importance of service learning to the community.

Dr. Robert Lengel, associate dean for the Executive MBA, received the 2011 Richard S. Howe Outstanding Service to Undergraduates Teaching Award this week during a luncheon hosted by UTSA President Ricardo Romo and Provost John Frederick.

College of Business Hosting Discussion on Sustainability and Real Estate

The Department of Finance in the College of Business is hosting a lecture on “Sustainability and Real Estate” at 4 p.m. on Monday, November 21 in BB 2.01.10 by Dr. Tony Ciochetti, the Thomas G. Eastman Chair and Chairman of the MIT Center for Real Estate. The event is open to the public.
