Elissa Ayoub received the award during the college’s Student Leader Showcase and Recognition Ceremony this month.
“Elissa is the kind of student who goes above and beyond—always seeking ways to support and inspire her peers,” said Alejandra Santos, program coordinator in the Alvarez Student Success Center, who nominated her for the award.
Ayoub, a senior finance major, was selected from a group of finalists. As a member of the inaugural cohort of Alvarez Business Ambassadors, she has been instrumental in shaping the program and connecting with prospective students. Her involvement extends to the Investment Society and Chess Club, while also interning at Valero, gaining valuable industry experience. Ayoub’s leadership, service to others and commitment to student engagement made her a standout nominee.
“I am incredibly honored to receive this award, which is a reflection not only of my hard work, but also the unwavering support from those around me,” said Ayoub. “My family’s love and encouragement have been my constant foundation, and I am equally grateful to my professors and staff at the Alvarez Student Success Center for their guidance and belief in me. This recognition is as much theirs as it is mine, and I will always be grateful for the impact they’ve had on my journey.”
Andrew Creedon, a senior cyber security major, was recognized for his research work, leadership of the Cyber Jedis organization and numerous technical workshops and events that have enriched his student learning experience.
Emily Galvan, a senior cyber security major, was honored for her dedication to academic research, peer tutoring and meaningful contributions to the development of open educational resources and student skill-building platforms.
Danijal Muminovic, a senior business analytics major and UTSA Tennis student-athlete, was celebrated for his involvement across multiple leadership roles and representation of UTSA both on the court and in campus-wide advisory committees.
Beverly Quintana, a senior finance major, was acknowledged for her participation in prestigious programs such as the UTIMCO Scholars and Business Student Council, and for translating those experiences into a full-time job offer with UTIMCO upon graduation.
The award will be formally presented to Ayoub at the UTSA University Life Awards ceremony on May 8.
