The Executive MBA (EMBA) program in the Carlos Alvarez College of Business at UTSA was ranked No. 14 globally and fourth in the United States by CEO Magazine in their 2025 Global MBA Rankings. The UTSA MBA was ranked as a Tier One Global MBA program. This is the seventh consecutive year that both programs were recognized.

“This ranking shines a spotlight on our outstanding Alvarez graduate business programs,” said Dan Sass, associate dean of graduate studies. “Led by our distinguished faculty, our graduate students thrive in a dynamic environment that fosters academic excellence, professional development and transformative personal growth.”

MBA ranking badgeUsing a fact-based ranking system, CEO Magazine evaluated MBA programs based on the following areas: quality of faculty, international diversity, class size, accreditation, faculty-to-student ratio, price, international exposure, work experience, professional development, gender parity and delivery methods. The goal behind the rankings is to provide potential students with a performance benchmark when comparing programs.

“Our faculty and staff are honored and humbled by this recognition,” said Albert Huang, faculty graduate advisor of the EMBA program. “We have always dedicated ourselves to ensuring that our students become the responsible and professional leaders that our community needs.”

Nationally ranked and recognized, the Alvarez College of Business is a collaborative community that provides rigorous academic courses along with applied learning experiences for our students. Students can choose from one of 13 master’s degree programs, study with top-notch faculty and network with emerging professionals. The college offers flexible scheduling and evening classes to accommodate our working students.

CEO Magazine launched its annual Global MBA Rankings in 2012. This year’s ranking included more than 153 schools from 24 countries.
