The lecture begins at 11:30 a.m. in the Richard S. Liu Auditorium (2.01.02) in the Business Building on the UTSA Main Campus. The event is free and open to the public.

For two decades, Wicall donned the iconic fur suit of The Coyote, the beloved mascot of the NBA’s San Antonio Spurs. He was named Mascot of the Year in 2005 and 2014. His diverse and extraordinary background left an indelible mark on the world of sports and entertainment.

Wicall recently published, “Furlosophy: Beyond the Mascot: Insights into Life and the NBA,” that showcases his experience as an NBA mascot.

Now in his current role, he provides a unique perspective on the art of genuine human connection and the power of making memorable moments that last a lifetime. He is the host of Better Futures, an online video series with the Better Futures Institute.

Wicall serves as chair of the South Texas Local Leadership Board for the Arthritis Foundation. He is also a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council in the Alvarez College of Business.

The Frost Distinguished Lecture Series, which began in 1988, brings prominent business and community leaders to UTSA to share their knowledge and experiences with students and others in the university and business community.
