Working to transform our business students into business professionals, the UTSA Center for Student Professional Development hosted more than 115 professional development events during the academic year 2019-2020.

More than 5,900 students participated in this programming which was supported by 280 corporate volunteers.

Events ranged from the annual Accounting Recruiting Network Expo to Internship Week programming and the college’s signature Career Action Program (CAP).

In its 12th year, CAP provides business students an opportunity to develop their professional skills through workshops as well as the CAP Conference, where students receive mentoring from business professionals. This year, the CAP program at UTSA was integrated into the management course Business Communication and Professional Development to better serve all business students.

Last year 1,650 business students participated in the CAP program, with the Spring 2020 sessions being offered remotely due to the pandemic.
