JimBodenstedt Jim Bodenstedt, president and CEO of MUY Brands, LLC, will present the keynote address during The University of Texas at San Antonio College of Business Frost Distinguished Lecture. The lecture begins at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 19 in the Richard S. Liu Auditorium (2.01.02) in the Business Building on the UTSA Main Campus. The event is free and open to the public.

Bodenstedt is responsible for managing over 7,000 MUY Brands, LLC and 1,000 R&L employees including all restaurant operations, marketing and financing as well as new restaurant development and remodeling.

MUY Brands, LLC was founded by Bodenstedt in 2003 and began with 18 existing Taco Bell and KFC restaurants in West Texas and Corpus Christi. Today, he operates over 227 restaurants including franchises for KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Long John Silvers and A&W. He was named one of the top 5 Yum Brand Inc.’s Franchisees in 2010.

He received his bachelor’s in accounting from UTSA in 1996. He is a member of the UTSA Development Board and is a past member of the College of Business Advisory Council. He also serves on the boards of the San Antonio Sports Foundation and the San Antonio Youth Education Scholarship.

The Frost Distinguished Lecture Series brings prominent business and community leaders to UTSA to share their knowledge and experiences with students and others in the university and business community. The lecture series, which began in 1988, presents a forum for business leaders and academics to share their experiences in business so that students can broaden their understanding of the business world and the individuals who lead it.

Nationally ranked and recognized, the UTSA College of Business is accredited by AACSB International, The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. It is one of the 40 largest business schools in the nation with 6,000 enrolled students and 37 different graduate and undergraduate business programs.
