Elisa Chan , president of Unintech Consulting Engineers and District 9 City Councilwoman, will present the keynote address during the College of Business Women’s History Month lecture at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29 in the Richard S. Liu Auditorium in the Business Building. This event is part of UTSA’s Women’s History Month activities.

Chan, who received her master’s degree in computer science from UTSA in 1993, is the first Asian-American woman to be elected to the San Antonio City Council. Born in Taipei, Taiwan, Elisa spent most her childhood in Taiwan and Brazil before going to Beijing, China with her parents.

At Unintech, she oversees business development, strategic planning initiatives, financial management, human resources and information technology. Her company was named “Top 25 Largest Engineering” and “Women-Owned” firms in San Antonio.
