Four UTSA business students placed second in the Alpha Kappa Psi Case Competition held last month in Dallas.
Team members were William Curtis , Samuel Durandard , Thibaut Guidet , and Jacqueline Nance . Daniel Tablada , lecturer II in marketing, served as their competition advisor.
“The competition was a learning opportunity for me,” said Guidet, a senior majoring in finance. “We learned to work as a team and apply the knowledge we receive in the classroom with real life problems. Most of the analysis involved international marketing and management.”
The competition consisted of an oral presentation, accompanied by a brief written report and a question and answer session before a panel of judges. Participants were judged on their overall analysis of the case and their recommendations.
Alpha Kappa Psi is a professional business fraternity that bridges the gap between college and the professional world. The UTSA chapter has more than 40 members.
