UTSA’s inaugural celebration of International Education Week kicks off Nov. 15 and concludes Nov. 19. The weeklong event was planned and organized by College of Business student leaders from the Business Student Council and the Global Business Club to promote international understanding and build support for international education exchange.
The theme of this year’s event is “Knowledge for a New World.” The first event is an address by Julius Gribou, executive vice provost and senior international officer. He will discuss the importance of international education and UTSA’s program offerings. It will begin at 5 p.m. in the University Room (2.06.04) in the Business Building.
Additional events include lectures by leading scholars, a green building conference, presentations on global sourcing and global trade, and a global trivia challenge. For more information, view the full schedule of activities on the International Education website.
International Education Week is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education. The initiative was established to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study and learn in the United States.
