Accounting Department Hosting Scholarship Benefit Golf Tournament

The Department of Accounting in the UTSA College of Business will host their 13th annual golf tournament Monday, April 25 at The Palmer Course at The Westin La Cantera. A shotgun start begins at 1:30 p.m. An awards dinner follows. The tournament benefits the Kathleen Reymann Keil Memorial scholarship fund.

Players will receive green fees, a cart, range balls, a golf shirt, a light lunch and dinner. For the same registration fee, participants can choose instead to spend a day at the spa, and receive a $100 gift certificate for spa services.

Kathleen Reymann Keil passed away in 1992 following a two-year battle with cancer. A sixth generation Texas, she graduated from UTSA with an accounting degree in 1985. While at UTSA she spearheaded the founding of and served as the first president of Beta Alpha Psi, a national accounting honor society.

Sponsorship opportunities are available at many different levels. Individual participation is $175 per person. The registration deadline is Friday, April 8. For more information, call 458-4320.
