UTSA’s College of Business is one of the leading institutions in the field of cyber security education. UTSA was ranked the No. 1 cyber security program in the country by the Ponemon Institute in 2014.

Students can study cyber security and information systems in our award-winning program at the undergraduate, graduate or doctoral level. And, a new online degree program launched this fall allowing students across the United States access to our top tier degree program.

UTSA has been designated a Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance/Cyber Defense Education and a Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Research by the National Security Agency and Department of Homeland Security. Only 47 programs in the nation have achieved the research designation.

Our program assists in meeting the national demand for information security professionals trained to defend America’s cyberspace.

From faculty to facilities and hands-on training, UTSA is the place to be for cyber security and information systems education. The college offers personalized training for students as they study biometrics, data mining, database management, intrusion detection and cyber forensics in our state-of-the-art laboratories.

  • The classes are the perfect mix between hands-on learning and academics. I’ve made lifelong friends, and I’ve found my passion for cyber security at UTSA.

  • Cyber security is an interesting, but challenging major. It is like solving a new puzzle every day. I love my major because in the future I can use my knowledge to prevent hacking, and that will have positive impacts on the digital and physical world.
