While participating in an international immersion you will visit local businesses, attend academic lectures and explore the cultural locations of the host country.
Immersion programs take place every summer and locations vary. These programs last 10-12 days, are typically connected to a 3-credit hour GBA elective academic course and a portion of the costs are covered by the college.
Summer 2025 Immersions
Italy--July 6-15 (undergraduates only)
Prague--June 15-28 (undergraduates only, no credit offered)
South Korea--June 2-12 (all business students)

Select your program of interest and complete the application requirements by the deadline. All applicants must meet the requirements.
Given the competitive nature of the program, interviews will be conducted with top program applicants.
Once you are accepted into the program, you will receive an email with instructions on how to commit to the program. After confirming your participation, you must complete additional required documentation including making your deposit to secure your spot.
Prior to the trip you must participate in a pre-departure orientation as well as mandatory class meetings that may occur prior to the start of the summer term. Students are automatically enrolled in the corresponding GBA elective course.

Immersions are typically connected to a UTSA 3-credit hour GBA elective course. Contact your advisor to check how this elective course fits within your degree plan.
As part of your study abroad experience, you will be automatically enrolled under the UTSA international travel accident and sickness insurance. Student International Travel Accident and Sickness Policy is through On Call International, insured by HDI Specialty. Visit the Education Abroad Resources and Tips website for more information on health insurance.
All students participating in an international immersion are required to have a valid passport. It is recommended that your passport be valid for at least six months beyond the intended period of stay. Information is provided if a location requires a visa.
