

Ann Bohl Deacon, ’84 and her husband, Charlie Deacon, have made significant contributions to UT San Antonio through leadership and philanthropy. Ann is the founder and CEO of Deacon Recruiting and serves on the Alvarez Dean’s Advisory Council and the UT San Antonio Development Board. Charlie is a partner at Norton Rose Fulbright and is a community advocate for the university.

Walter M. Embrey, Jr. is an icon in San Antonio real estate and founder of Embrey Partners. Walter’s generosity resulted in the naming of the Embrey Real Estate Finance and Development Program. Most recently, he created the Walter M. Embrey, Jr. Research Excellence Endowment, advancing graduate research within the Alvarez College of Business.

Lou Celia and Don Frost have been longtime champions of UT San Antonio, continuing the Frost family’s deep legacy of supporting education. The Frost Family have generously established multiple endowments across the college. Most recently, they established the Frost Family Professorship to augment the college’s ability to recruit and retain top-tier business faculty.

Dan Karam, ’97 and MSIT ’01, has made a lasting impact on the university through both his leadership and philanthropy. After a distinguished career, including 13 years at USAA and 13 years as CIO and partner at MUY! Companies, he returned to the Alvarez College of Business as an Executive in Residence, sharing his industry expertise with the next generation of business leaders.

Nancy, MBA ’87 and Frank Kudla ’85, founders of dNovus RDI and principals of FNK Ventures, are strong supporters of UT San Antonio and the Alvarez College of Business. Frank and Nancy established the Nancy and Frank Kudla Endowed Fellowship in Information Assurance and Security to advance cybersecurity education. Nancy serves on UT San Antonio’s Campaign Leadership Council, and Frank advocates for UT San Antonio in the community.
