Grant family members with their scholarship recipientScholarship funds are made possible by the generosity of our donors. Scholarships may be annual or endowed. An annual scholarship is offered on a year-to-year basis, depending on the renewal of donor support or the availability of funding.

An endowment is perhaps the most enduring gift a donor can make since it is a fund that will exist in perpetuity. Endowed scholarships are created when the initial gift is invested by the university and only a percentage of the fund is used each year to ensure the scholarship is available for generations to come. A minimum gift of $25,000 is necessary to establish a scholarship endowment. Endowments can be paid in one sum or over five years.

Annually, endowments at UT San Antonio generate these awards.
