The Financial Studies Center is a 1,800 square foot lab that features a 26-seat trading lab and a separate classroom for financial literacy programming. It is staged to look and operate like a trading room commonly found on Wall Street. The center is equipped with Bloomberg terminals providing electronic sources of financial news and investment data.
The center provides UTSA students with a real-world, real-time environment for hands-on training in capital markets.
Specialized courses such as Trading and Analysis of Financial Instruments and Financial Modeling are taught exclusively in the center. It is utilized as a resource for students taking classes in portfolio management and investment analysis and for the Investment Society and the Financial Management Association student organizations.
