Designed for today’s data-driven business environment, the new program prepares students with the technical and strategic problem-solving skills needed to make impactful, data-informed decisions to optimize business processes.

With the first class starting this fall, the program is offered in a hybrid format that allows students to blend in-person evening classes with online learning for maximum flexibility or complete the degree entirely online.

Tianhai Zu headshot“What makes this program special is that it was designed specifically with AI at the forefront,” said Tianhai Zu, assistant professor of operations and analytics. “It’s organically part of the program, which makes it very appealing to students who want to leverage this advanced technology.”

Students will gain hands-on experience with real world scenarios like marketing analytics, financial modeling and operations optimization. And, they’ll learn how to use industry standard tools such as GitHub, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI and SQL.

“Companies increasingly need more people who can bridge data science with business strategy and business decision-making,” said Zu.

In-person students can choose to concentrate in the areas of accounting, economics, finance or marketing. Open to students from a range of academic and professional backgrounds, no prior quantitative or coding experience is required.

"We’re preparing our students to enter the market with up-to-date skills in demand by employers," said Zu.
