Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA), Graduate Research Assistant (GRA), Graduate Administrative Assistant (GAA) and student grader positions for master's students are awarded on a competitive basis. A typical compensation package is outlined below. The hourly rates for GAAs and student graders may vary.

3New and continuing doctoral students are eligible for fellowship support, which is renewable based on academic and research performance. Awards are determined according to criteria established by the college's PhD Program Committee and are made upon departmental recommendation.

Fifth-Year Funding
Doctoral students completing their third year of funding are eligible for consideration for fifth-year funding. Selection is based on academic achievement, participation in national conferences, publications and research accomplishments.
Students approved for fifth-year funding receive an additional year of college funding equivalent to a standard doctoral package, following the conclusion of their fourth year.
Students who are not selected may still be eligible for departmental support, depending on departmental resources and approval.
