Bio

Manisha Vaswani is an assistant professor of practice in entrepreneurship in the Department of Management at The University of Texas at San Antonio’s Carlos Alvarez College of Business. Her academic work spans entrepreneurship, strategic management, organizational behavior, business analytics and innovation in management education. She teaches undergraduate, graduate and executive students across entrepreneurship, strategy, organizational behavior, family business and related management areas.

 Vaswani’s research focuses on entrepreneurship, strategic decision-making and organizational responses to uncertainty and changing environments. Her work examines entrepreneurial cognition and founder mindsets, performance feedback and strategic change, CEO characteristics and organizational outcomes, immigrant and informal entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial ecosystems and digital transformation. Her research also extends into emerging areas including neurodivergent entrepreneurship and the application of artificial intelligence to entrepreneurship and management education.

 In addition to her research and teaching, Vaswani is involved in educational technology software development, with a particular interest in AI-enabled educational tools, experiential business simulations, assessment and technology-supported learning. Her work explores how emerging technologies can be integrated into entrepreneurship and management education to create more experiential and decision-oriented learning environments.

Vaswani is also engaged with entrepreneurial and community organizations. She serves as a mentor with Entrepreneurship for All (EforAll), working with entrepreneurs and early-stage ventures and contributes to the academic community through peer reviewing, curriculum development, professional service and initiatives connecting academic research with entrepreneurial communities.
