Bio

Dan Davied has more than 30 years of industry and leadership experience, including 16 years in vice president and executive director positions. His background spans a broad spectrum of responsibilities in the areas of marketing, sales, market research, financial management, project management, operations, strategic planning, digital marketing and quality development.

At AT&T, Dr. Davied directed a $500 million annual budget and developed financial models for the prioritization and allocation of capital funds for new projects. He also assessed new technologies and defined the strategy for the development, deployment and placement of new services and has spoken at global trade conferences on the timely launch of new innovations.

Before retiring from industry, Dr. Davied designed and launched a new line of business that penetrated national and global markets and guided business operations to grow to annual revenues over $300 million. In his role, he guided the acquisition of a complementary provider, directed operations for an 800-person sales and customer care team, and oversaw all profit & loss activities.

Dr. Davied retired from AT&T in 2014 to pursue a second career in academia. While working full time for AT&T, he gained more than 20 years experience in adjunct teaching positions at Saint Louis University, Webster University, DeVry University, Concordia University and The University of Texas at San Antonio.

He holds a Ph.D. in marketing and an MBA with an emphasis in finance from Saint Louis University, and a B.S. in Engineering Technology from Pittsburg State University. His teaching and research areas of interest focus on marketing strategies and new product development.
