Successful Branding for South America to be Discussed During UTSA Latin American Speaker Series
Dr. Sergio Olavarrieta, dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business at Universidad Diego Portales in Santiago, Chile, will discuss Successful Branding and Strategy for South America, as part of The University of Texas at San Antonio College of Business Latin American Speaker Series on Friday, Nov. 16. The seminar is free and open to the public.
The event will begin at 7:30 a.m. with a continental breakfast followed by his presentation at 8 a.m. The presentation will be held at the UTSA Downtown Campus in the Durango Building Southwest Room. Parking is available in the Durango Loop Lot in any unmarked space.
Dr. Olavarrieta’s presentation will provide advice for successful marketing strategies in Latin American and include examples from top Chilean companies.
The UTSA College of Business Latin American Seminar Series, hosted by the college’s Business Studies for the Americas program, was established to bring international business perspectives to the San Antonio business community. The series is funded by a two-year $140,000 Department of Education Business in International Education grant. Other components of the program include a one-credit-hour student international seminar, faculty presentations and student presentations.
The UTSA College of Business is the largest undergraduate business program in the University of Texas System and one of the 40 largest business schools in the nation. The college has 5,902 enrolled students and features 48 different degree programs at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels.
