Program Requirements
Business Honors Program members are required to meet academic and experiential learning requirements in order to graduate with the Business Honors designation. Below is an outline of requirements.
-Maintain a minimum cumulative UTSA and COB grade point average of 3.25
-Complete a minimum of 9 semester credit hours of business honors coursework. This requirement can be completed by combining any of the course options below:

-Enroll in any of the Business Research Competency courses: GBA 3013, GBA 4023, GBA 4033, GBA 4933
-Enroll in an Academic Credit Internship. You must meet all academic credit internship requirements; see an academic advisor for details.
-Participate in three events every semester approved by the Business Honors Program.
-Complete two high-impact experiences as part of the Alvarez Student Success Center's Experiential Learning Four Pillars of Engagement
-Meet with Business Honors Program staff once per academic year
-Maintain a minimum cumulative UTSA and COB grade point average of 3.25
-If you are pursuing a B.A. in Economics or a B.S. Statistics and Data Science must complete 9 credit hours of Business Research Competency courses.
REQUIRED: GBA 3013 Introduction to Academic Research (Spring);
and either:
Option 1
GBA 4023 Conducting Innovative Research (Spring)
GBA 4033 Communication and Impactful Research (Fall)
or
Option 2
GBA 4933 Honors Thesis (2 semesters/6 credit hours)
