The Carlos Alvarez College of Business at UTSA offers three undergraduate certificates for students to specialize in areas of interest. These certificates are offered in two departments at UTSA: the Department of Management Science and Statistics & the Department of Information Systems and Cyber Security.
The 15-hour Business Analytics certificate prepares business students with a foundational knowledge of analytics. They will learn cutting-edge techniques to sift through large volumes of data and understand how analytics can help improve decisions throughout an organization. The certificate is offered by the Department of Management Science and Statistics.
In order to better understand Operations and Supply Chain Management, this 15-hour certificate explores production/operations management, logistics management and procurement topics related to the internal and external flow of materials and requisite knowledge. The certificate is offered by the Department of Management Science and Statistics.
This 15-hour interdisciplinary certificate program is open to biology, computer science, computer engineering, cyber security and information systems majors so that they can investigate biological and digital pathogen identification, propagation prediction and mitigation.
