For a masters in accounting program in San Antonio, look no further than UTSA's Master's of Accountancy (MACY)
Our graduates thrive in a variety of careers including public accounting, corporate accounting, financial services, health biotech and more. Graduates may also pursue advanced study and research leading to the Ph.D. in Accounting.
Master of Accountancy (MACY)
The UTSA Master of Accountancy degree (MACY) maintains high standards and is separately accredited by AACSB, the premier business accrediting agency. Our program offers four tracks in which students can focus their electives:
The Master of Accountancy (MACY) degree is designed to accommodate applicants with a degree in every field. Students who do not complete the equivalent of a B.B.A. degree in accounting from an accredited institution must enroll in MACY leveling courses.
Five-Year (150-Hour) Professional Accounting
The Five-Year Professional Accounting Program is a 3/2 degree program that is only available to B.B.A. accounting students at UTSA. The advantage of the program is that it allows accounting majors to spread the graduate courses required for the MACY degree over the fourth and fifth years of the Five-Year Professional program. Students admitted to the Five-Year Professional program will be reclassified from undergraduate to graduate student status when they have completed 120 semester credit hours of coursework toward their degree. Students may receive the B.B.A. in Accounting and the Master of Accountancy degrees as each of the degree’s requirements are completed.
