This 12-hour graduate certificate program will provide you with fundamental project management skills and techniques, along with an opportunity to explore their application in a variety of industries and functions.

After establishing a solid foundation in project management by taking the introductory course, Essentials of Project and Program Management, you can tailor the rest of the program to your needs and goals by selecting three additional courses from a list that provides opportunities to explore project management in technology-based projects and to prepare for certification.

Certificates have a streamlined application process and courses may also be used to satisfy degree requirements.

How to Apply

New Students Applying to the Project Management Certificate

The application process for the UTSA Project Management Certificate is streamlined and does not require standardized test scores.

  1. Complete the online Graduate Application:
    • Select your application type (Domestic or International)
    • For classification, select “Master’s – Special Graduate”
    • For your program, select “Project Management, Graduate Certificate”
    • Choose the term for which you would like to apply
    • Complete the rest of the online application form, pay your application fee and submit
  2. If admitted as a special graduate student, please contact Tammy McDaniel (tammy.mcdaniel@utsa.edu) to request information on registration.

Current Graduate Students Requesting Enrollment into the Project Management Certificate

  1. Please contact Tammy McDaniel (tammy.mcdaniel@utsa.edu) to complete a request to enroll in a Graduate Certificate Program form.

The form will be signed by the Certificate Program Advisor and the Dean of the College or Director of the Center in which the certificate program is housed. A copy of this form will be sent to the Graduate School.
