Our Essentials of Foundation Leadership track is built around nine core leadership courses. In addition to the core courses, three customized sessions led by leading College of Business faculty will help participants solidify learning in the areas of influence, strategy, and professional development.
Keeton is a licensed psychologist in the state of Texas and her specialties include executive coaching, leadership, team development and entrepreneurship. Recognized in 2017 with a San Antonio Business Journal Women Leadership Award, Keeton is both a successful entrepreneur and associate professor for UTSA. She has authored and co-authored research publications on topics related to innovation, team development, employee engagement and leadership training. Keeton is a member of the Society for Industrial Organizational Psychologists (SIOP), and the American Psychological Association (APA).
Heather Staples is an Assistant Professor of Practice at UTSA with research and teaching interests in Management, Human Resources, Leadership, Teams, and Conflict. Staples is an active researcher focusing on positive organizational scholarship, generations in the workplace, and diversity issues in business. She previously worked as a human resources professional in various industries including retail, hospitality, financial, manufacturing, sports, biotechnology and healthcare.
Rudy has teaching and research interests in strategic management and organizational theory. More specifically, his areas of focus include corporate political activity and corporate social responsibility. His research has been published in the Journal of Management and is under consideration in the Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, Academy of Management Perspectives and Global Strategy Journaland Business & Society. Rudy has received the University of Texas System Regents’ Outstanding Teaching Award and the College of Business Faculty Teaching Excellence Award.
