With wide-scale disruption of jobs incited by advances in robots, automation and AI, experts envision that the next decade will introduce a diversified array of skills-building options, impacting how business schools design and deliver programs. This presentation will explore the future MOT programming ecosystem, with emphasis on the integration of specialized business skills, frameworks and technical acuity to create and capture value from innovative technologies.
Speaker Bio: Jef is an Associate Professor of Management and the Derrell Thomas Faculty Fellow in the Culverhouse College of Business at the University of Alabama. In addition to serving as the Associate Department Chair in the Management Department, he is the Director of Business Intelligence (Data Visualization) in the Institute for Data Analytics and the area leader and coordinator for Business Communications. He has leveraged his extensive business experience to reshape course curricula and design and implement innovative industry-aligned programs of study both at the graduate (MBA) and undergraduate level. Prior to this he was employed at EY (formerly Ernst and Young) as a senior management consultant and project manager where he worked on global client engagements that focused on broad enterprise and functional transformations to point solutions targeting business process automation through technology.
