Event Details
The Alvarez Student Success Center is sponsoring students to attend professional conferences for professional development and recruitment opportunities. We are offering limited scholarships for Alvarez graduate students in all programs to attend these conference & career expo events. Selected students receive a scholarship, that pays for conference registration fee, membership, travel and lodging. Valued at $3,000. All masters students are welcome to apply to any conference and can apply to multiple conferences. Due to the demand there are limited spots available and students selected will only be eligible to attend one conference.
The conferences
1. NBMBAA – The largest network of black professional come together to learn, connect, and grow. Hear from industry and thought leaders and attend the career expo meeting recruiters from Fortune 500 companies.

2. ROMBA – The ROMBA Conference is the world’s largest gathering of LGBTQ+ business students and alumni. The event includes a variety of panels, workshops, receptions, and a career fair with 100 corporate partners across industries recruiting LGBTQ+ masters talent.

MBA VETERANS CONFERENCE – MBA Veterans Network® is a professional networking and advocacy organization dedicated to connecting military veteran students and alumni of the world’s top-ranked universities with employers who value their elite academic credentials, military leadership abilities, and limitless career potential.

4. PROSPANICA – Prospanica has advocated for Hispanic business professionals for 30 years. They host annual career and professional development conferences, connecting thousands of Hispanics to graduate programs, subject matter experts, corporations, and each other.
When: October 18-20, 2023

Eligibility Requirements
– Enrolled in an Alvarez College of Business master’s program in Fall 2023
– GPA of 3.0 or higher in the college.
– Be enrolled and attend in Fall 2023. If selected candidates are not attending in the Fall they will be removed from trip.
– Submit your resume with the application.
– Submit a brief response to an essay prompt

– During the conference post to LinkedIn once each day
– Must be able to attend for the full time
