Two UTSA College of Business graduate programs were ranked among the best in the world by Eduniversal, a Paris-based global ranking agency specializing in higher education.
The M.S. in Business was ranked No. 36 in the General Management for North America category. The M.S. for Finance with a Real Estate Concentration was ranked No. 46 among academic programs in real estate and wealth management worldwide.
“Our program focuses on the intersection of tier-one academic content along with significant experiential learning in order to help create the future leaders of the real estate industry,” said Tony Ciochetti, the Elmo James Burke Jr. Chair in Real Estate Finance and Development. “Our motto is real world, real learning, with real impact and we benefit from the expansive network of local, regional and national companies that help support our initiatives.”
The degree programs scored high under Eduniversal’s three main criteria: the notoriety of the programs with recruiting companies; the salary graduates earn in their first jobs following graduation; and student satisfaction.
“We are proud to be recognized internationally for our M.S. in Business program,” said Daniel Davied, assistant dean of graduate studies in the College of Business and director of the M.S. in Business program. “Since the program began in 2016 we have worked hard to provide non-business majors with a solid foundation in business; create bonds that will last a lifetime within this cohort program; and ultimately secure meaningful professional employment for our graduates.”
Eduniversal, a widely respected source for national/international rankings in higher education, analyzed more than 20,000 master’s and MBA programs to build its 2019 rankings. From that group, Eduniversal ranked 5,360 academic programs from 886 different institutions in 136 countries.
