Job and Internship Search Process
The Center for Student Professional Development (CSPD) believes that internships are an essential component of a student’s college education. Internships allow students to obtain work experience, gain knowledge of business functions, explore a chosen career path, improve team work and communications skills, and increase marketability and value to employers. All business students are encouraged to seek internship opportunities related to their chosen field of study. Please call our office at (210) 458-4039 if you have any questions about this content or if you want to schedule an appointment with one of our Career Counselors to discuss the internship and job search process.
Each year students can meet employers on campus to look for internships and full time employment.
- Attend the Career Fair hosted by the University Career Center in the beginning of Fall & Spring semester.
- Meet employers when you participate in the HEB Career Action Program (CAP).
- Meet employers when they "table recruit" in the Business Building. Look for employers in the main entrance on the second floor of the Business Building.
- Meet employers at the many special panels, expos, guest visits held throughout the year in the College of Business.
