As the largest undergraduate business program in the University of Texas System, the College of Business trains the workforce of the future. Working closely with University Career Services, the CSPD reaches out to companies who wish to recruit business students. The CSPD helps place students in internships and full-time postgraduate positions. Companies may introduce their opportunities to our students in a number of ways:
Presentations through the H-E-B Career Action Plan (CAP). Through our signature professional development program, company representatives can “Speed Network” with our students or present to a group of 25-50 students about planning a career, finding a mentor and more. We provide the teaching materials for these talks. Company representatives share their business experience and introduce their company as well.
Table Recruiting. Companies can meet our students on the college’s “Main Street” where several hundred students pass every hour. Table recruiting is a great way to interact with business students and generate interest in internship and employment opportunities.
Information Sessions and Receptions. Companies may arrange to speak to business students who are interested in opportunities in their industry and company.
On-campus interviews in the Ernst & Young Leadership Suites. The CSPD provides the Ernst & Young Leadership Suites conference facility for recruiters interested in conducting on-campus interviews with business students. Additional interview rooms are available and can be arranged.
Recruiting Interns and Employees
When companies approach the college with internship and employment opportunities, the CSPD provides a whole host of services to communicate that opportunity to students. After the position is posted on Rowdy Jobs, the CSPD distributes the message in a number of ways.
- We include the announcement in the COB Recruiter, our weekly college newsletter. Available in print and digital editions, the COB Recruiter is emailed weekly to all students, faculty, staff, and student organizations in the college and is available throughout the college. The COB Recruiter is a convenient way for students to access all the internships and employment information available in Rowdy Jobs.
- Custom announcements are posted on digital and print signage throughout the college.
