The Center for Student Professional Development (CSPD) in the UTSA College of Business provides academic advising and career preparation programs and services which give business students a competitive edge in obtaining internships and securing employment. By combining theory with practice, the center helps students develop a balanced portfolio of academic, career readiness and leadership skills to place them on the path to professional success. We do this by focusing on strong academic advising as well as industry and career knowledge, personal development and image enhancement.
The CSPD is also dedicated to serving as a resource to the business community. Partnering with local, regional and national employers, the center offers specialized services to help employers recruit internship and job placement candidates. Supporting employers through the entire recruitment process and working closely with the University Career Center, the center also hosts companies for on-campus interviews, networking receptions, industry panels and expos, and career fairs.
The UTSA College of Business is one of the 40 largest business schools in the nation with more than 5,100 undergraduates and 600 graduate students. Offering comprehensive academic programming at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral level, the college is ranked second in the nation for the number of undergraduate business degrees awarded to Hispanics and was named one of the top ten MBA programs for minorities by the Princeton Review.
