Doctoral faculty and administrators are ready to serve the college's doctoral students.
Intellectual discovery and innovation are a hallmark of the doctoral programs offered by The University of Texas at San Antonio College of Business. Through the college's environment and curriculum, our doctoral students are trained by high quality faculty in their respective fields, present at national conferences and publish their research in refereed journals. The college offers two doctoral programs, one in business administration and the other in applied statistics. The business administration program offers majors in accounting, finance, information technology, marketing, and organization and management studies. The applied statistics program offers a concentration in biostatistics. Due to the small size of our program, students receive close interaction with faculty members and can make a significant contribution to the research activity of the college. The college's doctoral classes are diverse in terms of professional experience, academic experience, cultural influences and international experiences. Commitment to research and a passion for teaching are two of the qualities that distinguish both our doctoral faculty and our graduates. Students work closely with faculty members in small classes, seminars, research projects and other assignments, aimed toward developing the analytical skills competencies to conduct independent quality research. UTSA's College of Business is accredited by AACSB International, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. The college is one of the 40 largest business schools in the nation and is dedicated to raising its academic profile to become one of the best business schools, recognized for developing Knowledge for a New World. The College of Business has attracted faculty from a number of outstanding universities including Harvard University, Penn State, University of California at Berkeley, University of Illinois, University of Maryland, University of Michigan, University of Texas, University of Wisconsin and many others. Ph.D. Faculty Named Top 10 in NationThe UTSA College of Business was named one of the top 10 research institutions nationwide for faculty scholarly productivity in business administration according to a study by Academic Analytics. Other schools included in this ranking were Indiana University, the University of Chicago, University of Illinois at Chicago, University of Michigan, University of Minnesota and University of Rochester. The UTSA College of Business offers two doctoral programs, one in business administration and the other in applied statistics.
