Based on his global experiences as a consultant, Dr. Gómez will deliver an entertaining and insightful presentation on how to evaluate the impact of global forces and design appropriate management systems to motivate employees, drive growth and deliver value to customers and shareholders. The event will begin at 7:30 a.m. with a continental breakfast followed by his presentation at 8 a.m. Dr. Gomez' presentation will be held at the UTSA 1604 Campus in Business Building Room 2.06.04. Dr. Gómez has been a consultant for more than 100 major corporations in 40 countries including Africa, Asia, Europe, Japan and Latin America. He obtained his Ph.D. from The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania. Under Dr. Gómez' leadership, as founding dean of the graduate school, EGADE has been recognized as the top business school in Latin America by América Economía (Chile), among the top business schools in the world by Business Week, the Financial Times, The Economist (UK) and the Wall Street Journal. The UTSA College of Business Latin American Seminar Series, hosted by the college's Business Studies for the Americas program, was established to bring international business perspectives to the San Antonio business community. The series is funded by a two-year $140,000 Department of Education Business in International Education grant. Other components of the program include a one-credit-hour student international seminar, faculty presentations and student presentations. The UTSA College of Business is the largest undergraduate business program in the University of Texas System and one of the 40 largest business schools in the nation. The college has 5,902 enrolled students and features 48 different degree programs at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels. The last seminar for this year will be held on Nov. 30.
