Busch III Keynoted UTSA College of Business Signature Speaker Series Feb. 21—March 1, 2007 Busch’s remarks included the core principles used throughout Anheuser-Busch, the Anheuser-Busch Planning Process and most importantly his personal principles for success. Those in attendance were treated with samples of Anheuser-Busch’s latest beverage innovations along with popular commercials from this year’s Super Bowl. Another highlight of the evening came when Busch announced that everyone in attendance would receive two tickets to SeaWorld San Antonio. Under the direction of Dr. Karan Bhanot, professor of finance, a group of select students spent several weeks analyzing the Anheuser-Busch company. The students were able to meet Busch prior to the dinner and subsequently questioned Busch on topics ranging from CEO compensation to the value of stock buy back for shareholders. Two distinguished alumni were also honored at the event. Jeanie Wyatt, MBA’86, CEO and chief investment officer of South Texas Money Management, Ltd., received the Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award. Wyatt established South Texas Money Management in 2000, and it has since become one of the fastest-growing investment advisory firms in the country focused on high-net-worth clients. A.J. Rodriguez, ’98MBA’00, president and CEO of the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, received the Young Alumnus of the Year award.
