Free Workshop on International Internships
to be Held Jan. 31

January 26, 2006

Students can find out how to select and qualify for programs that offer an overseas work experience and up to six credit hours, by attending the International Internship Workshop on Tuesday, January 31, 2006.

"Many students, especially international business majors, want work experience abroad as part of their resume,” said John Jennings, assistant dean for undergraduate professional development. “But students often can't assemble all the tools to make it happen. This workshop will try to bring it all the piece parts together in one session,” he added.

Representatives from two leading programs, American Institute for Foreign Studies, and Australia's AustraLearn will be panelists for the program. Other speakers include Dr. Victoria Jones, director of the Business Studies for the Americas Program in the College of Business; Holly Hill, from UTSA's International Programs Office; and Beth Guajardo, representing the College of Business International Programs office.

The interactive session is open to all students, all majors, and will be held from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the JPL Assembly Room, JPL 4.03.08. For more information, call (210) 458-4327.
