Business NewsThree New Faculty Members Join Marketing Department—August 11, 2004 The Department of Marketing welcomes three new faculty members to the College of Business. Ashwani Monga, Sonia Basu Monga and Allen Zhang will join the college as assistant professors this fall. Ashwani Monga received his doctorate in marketing from the University of Minnesota. His research interests include behavioral decision theory, evaluation of brand extensions and changes in consumer expectations. Sonia Monga received her doctorate in marketing from the University of Minnesota. Her research interests are in the fields of cross-cultural differences in branding, consumer-brand relationships and co-branding strategies. Zhang received his doctorate from the Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh. His teaching interests are in the areas of marketing research, consumer behavior, marketing management and international marketing.
