Business NewsUTSA Accounting Students Attend National Conference—August 20, 2004
Bobbie's tenure in the college began June 1975 in the Koger Center. One week later the university moved into the Humanities-Business (now Humanities Social Sciences) building. Bobbie will be remembered most for her 26 years in the Division of Management and Marketing. She worked one year in the newly-created Department of Management Science and Statistics and two years in the Dean's Office. "When I began working at UTSA there were no parking lots, and we were shuttled to campus every morning in yellow school buses," said Roberts. "There was a real sense of unity those early years. We'd celebrate birthdays, Thanksgiving and Christmas together in the departments." Upon retirement Bobbie plans on traveling with her husband Bill, visiting family and spending more time with her daughter Barbara, son Allen and two grandsons. "I'll really miss the people here at UTSA," said Roberts. "I've loved doing this job because I enjoy the work and the interactions I've had with others." A retirement reception will be held from 2-3 p.m. on Friday, August 27 in the University Room of the Business Building. Please RSVP by calling 458-4313.
