Business NewsDepartment of Accounting Hosts Meet the Firm Night—September 30, 2003 The Department of Accounting sponsored their annual Meet the Firms event last Tuesday. Beta Alpha Psi, the accounting honor society, prepared resume books to distribute to the firms. Forty-three recruiters participated in the event representing 16 companies. Sixty-eight accounting students attended the event. Companies in attendance included Clarke American, Clear Channel Worldwide, Deloitte & Touche, Ernst & Young, Frost National Bank, KPMG, Southwest Business Corp. and Padgett, Stratemann & Co. "We are extremely pleased with the success of this event," said Elaine Sanders, chair of the Department of Accounting. "Many of the recruiters were UTSA accounting alumni.
