Business NewsBusiness Alumnus Lands Job with Ebay—October 8, 2003 Eunmi (Diana) Cho, a M.B.A. alumnus from the College of Business , was named training manager for Ebay's Korean operations. While at UTSA, Cho was a teaching assistant for Joel Saegert, professor and department chairman of marketing, and Rick Utecht, associate professor of marketing. "I'm very grateful to have this position with Ebay," said Cho. "John Clark in the Office of Graduate Studies and Research helped me prepare a resume and several faculty members wrote recommendation letters for me." In this role, Cho decides what programs should be offered, contracts with presenters and delivers training workshops for the employees. "Most employees are not proactive when it comes to their professional development," said Cho. "I promote and advertise the career development opportunities that my company offers." Courses that were most beneficial to Cho included a marketing e-commerce class, as well as a variety of general business courses that gave her a well-rounded business education. "I'm proud of my UTSA education. My global experience and educational background prepared me for this new endeavor." Ebay Korea employs 170 individuals and 50 officers.
