Five New Faculty Members Join College of Business

August 28, 2003

Five new tenure-track faculty members joined the College of Business this fall.

The Department of Information Systems hired three new assistant professors. Yoris Au, received his undergraduate degree in civil engineering from Parahyangan Catholic University in Indonesia and a master's of business administration from the University of Pittsburgh. He is completing his doctorate in business administration from the University of Minnesota. His teaching interests include Internet telecommunications, systems analysis and design and e-commerce in the financial services industry.

Huoy Min Khoo is completing her doctorate in computer information systems from Georgia State University. She holds a master's of business administration degree from Mississippi State University and a bachelor's of science in computer science from the University of Mississippi.

Receiving her doctorate in information systems from Virginia Commonwealth University, Myung S. Ko, also holds a master’s degree in accounting from Virginia Commonwealth University and a bachelor’s in business administration from the University of Washington. Her research interests include data mining and the impact of information technology on organizations.

The Department of Management Science and Statistics hired two tenured faculty members. Daijin Ko, professor of statistics, previously worked at the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University in the Department of Biostatistics. He holds a doctorate and master’s degree in statistics from the University of Washington and a master’s and bachelor’s in mathematics from Yonsei University in Korea.

Rolando Quintana, associate professor of statistics, previously served as the Macintosh-Murchison Endowed Chair in Manufacturing at the University of Texas at El Paso. He holds a doctorate in industrial engineering from New Mexico State University, and a master’s in industrial engineering and a bachelor’s in mathematics from the University of Texas at El Paso.
