College of Business Expands International Graduate Program Opportunities

April 28, 2003

This summer the UTSA graduate business program will have more students involved in international study programs than ever before. Twelve graduate students will participate in international opportunities in Italy, Mexico and Canada during the summer.

Four students will travel to Italy in June to participate in the Consortium International for Management and Business Analysis program. Graduate students participating this summer are Amy Browning, Kristi Burchers, Yisel Flores and Kathy Petmecky. They will take graduate courses taught in English in northern Italy with students from other major universities such as the University of Kansas, Florida State and the University of Arkansas.

Another eight students will venture throughout North American for the intensive, three-week North American Summer School of Advanced Management Trilateral Exchange Program. Participating students are Lisa Asfeld, Debra Juarez, Jacob Kells, Victor Lacayo, Gabriel Ferreyra Orozco, Aileen Sagun, Fiona Widyawati and Elizabeth Wolf. Led by faculty member Vic Heller, the group will team up with M.B.A. students from Mexico City and Calgary for this program. The graduate students will spend a week in each of those countries studying international business.
