Graduate Programs Sponsors Hispanic Professional
Leadership Day at the Downtown Campus

The College of Business, the National Society of Hispanic MBAs San Antonio
Chapter and H-E-B hosted the second annual San Antonio Hispanic Professional
Leadership Day.
The daylong event was held Thursday at the Downtown Campus. Featured
speakers included UTSA President Ricardo Romo; Ramiro Cavazos, director
of the San Antonio Economic Development Center; and Howard Butt, vice
president of Mexico operations at H-E-B.
Donde Ashmos, associate dean for graduate studies and research, presented
a discussion on the Ph.D. Project. Martha Fasci, associate dean at the
Downtown Campus, discussed corporate ethics following Enron.
The annual event is held to provide continuing educational opportunities
for business leaders, encourage networking and to promote the importance
of graduate degrees in the business profession.
