Please Welcome Janette Borel to the College

Janett Borel Janette Borel has joined the College of Business, Office of the Dean, in a newly created part-time position. She will provide administrative and activity support to Bartlett Cocke, our Executive in Residence. She will also assist Paula Vernick in the coordination of major special events and other meeting and events initiated through the Dean's Office.

Janette comes to UTSA from the UT Health Science Center in the Department of Anesthesiology. There she worked with six faculty members, organized their travel requirements, coordinated arrangements for visiting professors to the medical center, and also handled the logistics for the Annual Holmstrom Lecture.

Janette was born and raised in a small town called Wellingborough in England. She and her husband Roy, a student in the College's Master of Science in the Management of Technology program stationed at Kelly AFB, have lived in San Antonio since 1995. They have two boys, Ryan and Cory, who attend school in the Northside School District.

"When I am not active as 7th grade parent representative at my son's school, I attend Northwest Vista College where I am working on my Counseling degree, which I will hopefully complete within the next two years," commented Janette. "I am excited to be here in the College of Business, everyone has made me feel very welcome!"
