Graduate Real Estate Student Receives National Scholarship
October 20, 2015

Jenna StoeltjeJenna Stoeltje, a graduate student in the Embrey Real Estate Finance and Development Program, was one of only 10 students nationwide chosen to receive the CREW Network Foundation Scholarship.

Recipients will receive a $5,000 scholarship for tuition and fees, a paid internship opportunity for Summer 2016, an 18-month CREW student membership, mentorship opportunities and free registration to the CREW national conference.

“The CREW Network Foundation Scholarship is a prestigious, highly-sought after accolade,” said Carrie Caesar, president of CREW San Antonio. “Jenna was the first recipient selected from San Antonio. Her accomplishments shine a light on San Antonio’s commercial real estate future and bring awareness to everything the CREW San Antonio chapter offers.”

A native of San Antonio, Stoeltje is working on her MBA with a concentration in real estate finance and development.  She is currently interning with R.L. Worth & Associates in finance and development.

“I’m genuinely passionate about real estate,” said Stoeltje, who has an undergraduate degree in international relations from the University of Southern California. “I’m very excited about the educational journey I am on at UTSA, and the career opportunities that await me in the future."

“Jenna has a deep interest in the development and re-development of downtown San Antonio,” said Tony Ciochetti, the Elmo James Burke Jr. Chair in Real Estate Finance and Development. “By winning this scholarship, she has shined a light on our program, and the opportunities that exist here at UTSA for woman interested in careers in the commercial real estate sector. We are proud of her accomplishments, and she sets the standard for the type of women we would be honored to have in our program."

Active in the community, Stoeltje is a member of the Urban Land Institute, CREW, the San Antonio Conservation Society and the San Antonio Junior Forum.

“My long-term career strategy is to take the knowledge that I gain in finance, real estate development and urban planning from my studies at UTSA and my work experiences and apply that toward ultimately becoming a development manager at a real estate company,” she said.
